We started our Buckets of love campaign 2012 as Affinity Paining is not just here to serve our clients its part of the community it serves. That’s what Buckets of love is all about! These folks are not just nameless faces, they are our neighbors.

Our thanksgiving campaign has provided over 2,700 thanksgiving dinners to families all around our communities. Each Bucket of love is filled with a full size turkey plus all the trimmings to feed any family. We believe that a home becomes a home with a warm holiday meal.

During the month of December our Christmas campaign is targeted to provide warmth to the homeless. Each Bucket of love has a new sleeping bag, warm goodies like socks, gloves, blanket and even a water proof poncho. We have continued to provide over 1,250 buckets of love to the homeless in partnership with the Midnight Mission to reach those living in Skid row.

To us, as a painting contractor the “Bucket” signifies many things, a stool when taking a break, a lunch pail for lugging around our lunch while at a job-site, a step ladder for those hard to reach places, a bucket to mix our paint and carry our tools. It is the single most important item for us, which is why we chose to use it to warm many hearts.

May you and your family continue to be blessed on Thanksgiving as we move forward together to give even more.

Happy Thanksgiving from the

Affinity Painting Family

Affinity Painting Company Inc, Before you decide to hire the least expensive painter you can find, or "do it yourself", here are important points to consider that suggest the lowest price may not be the best value.

Painting can be hazardous work, whether it’s working on a ladder or dealing with solvents and dust. Hiring a professional contractor means you don’t have to worry about these problems.

If your home or business was built before 1978, it may have been painted with lead-based paint, which can cause serious health effects when it is scraped or sanded in preparation for repainting. Professional contractors will take appropriate steps to protect you. Painting contractors are required to furnish EPA-produced pamphlets to their residential customers before they begin a job that involves disturbing lead-based paint in or on a residence. Professional painting contractors will understand and be willing to follow the recommendations on this pamphlet.

Preparation and Painting
Getting the surface properly prepared makes all the difference. Professional contractors know the value of preparation and will do it right.

Knowing Paints and How to Apply Them
The choices today are more complicated than just oil or latex, and professional contractors will know what works, how to use it, and will have the right tools for the job.

Cleanup and Disposal
Hiring a professional contractor means you don’t have to worry about dealing with paint residues and other leftovers. Professionals will know how to handle hazardous wastes that may be part of the job.

How to Choose the Right Contractor for Your Project
Once you have decided to contract with someone to do a particular painting and decorating project, how do you go about selecting the right company? Do you make your selection on price, size of company, years in business, or other criteria?

To locate the names of reputable contractors, there are many sources of information. Some of these sources are, friends, relatives, architects and design professionals, and local "quality- oriented" paint supply stores. However, these sources can only give you limited general information. In order to make an educated decision, you need some specific information about any person or firm you are considering hiring.

Always Verify the Contractor Is Licensed and Insured
Quality contracting firms will be only too happy to provide you with copies of their certificates of insurance. They should provide bonding information (if the job is large enough to require such) and documentation of safety training and compliance programs. Not all states and municipalities require licensing however business registration with your state and municipality is generally a minimum requirement.

Written Contracts are Essential
Reputable contractors will encourage the use of a written contract. This contract should clearly explain the scope of the work to be performed. It should also cover such items as surfaces to be painted, methods and extent of surface preparation, time schedules for the project, and payment procedures. Knowing the total scope of the work enables you to carefully evaluate the different bids you may receive with the proper information and keep them on a level playing field. The contract serves to protect both you and the contractor.

Good contractors are very eager for your business. They are also very proud of their craftsmanship. Once you have made your selection, step back and give the professional painter room to execute the project. You have both done your homework, so give the professional the opportunity to meet and exceed your expectations. Remember, as with anything else in life, you get what you pay for. If you want high quality and reliable service, be willing to pay the price that comes with it.

Residential Exterior

We were in the middle of completing some exterior work when the home owner recommended us to her neighbor. Jenny was looking to paint the exterior of her home located in the beautiful hills of Los Angeles. To begin the painting process at this lovely home, our crew members power washed all the surfaces to be painted, scraping off lose paint, patching and sanding. Upon completion a thorough inspection was performed by one of our crew members to make sure all loose paint was scraped and all gaps were caulked to prevent water intrusion. Once the foreman gave the green light we were ready to paint. We are still, working at the job site and hope to wrap up within a few days. Jenny will be nothing but pleased with the outcome!

Commercial Exterior

We are currently out in Arizona working on three separate warehouses. Each warehouse is about 200K sqft. We have sent out there one of our top notch crews and have also employed some locals for our duration of our project. We have our vendor from Sherwin William and Sunbelt rentals working closely with us to insure that we complete this project in an efficient manner along with providing an aesthetically-pleasing look. Painting commercial buildings like these must serve two purposes: protect the building from weathering or decay; and looking great. This is why we are working very closely with Sherwin Williams and applying the latest VOC protective Eco Friendly coatings that are extremely resistant to such elements that endure high traffic.

It's suggested that you get 3 bids for work on your home and go with the middle. I got 6 and went with the lowest. Not a gamble at all when they rate so high on Yelp. I'd only like to add to that with a 5 star review myself.

Great bid. Great customer service. Great work. Great attention to detail. Short and sweet, these guys are the best.

They did my exterior on my two-story home + a detached garage. My wife, son and I could not be happier with the work. This praise doesn't come easy as I am a visual professional who deals with artwork on a daily basis. Even with that scrutiny Affinity came out on top.

Thanks again Affinity!
